District 5M-6 Peace Poster
The 2011-2012 Peace Poster Contest Winner for District 5M6. We have completed
another very successful Peace Poster Contest for 2011-2012 and it is
time for the 2012-2013 contest to begin.
This last year we had 28 posters submitted for
5M6 District Governor Carol Farley’s contest representing only 14 of
our 40+ clubs.
We are
hoping more clubs will choose to become involved this year.
The winner of the 5M6 contest was Tia Hannes, a
seventh grade student from Central Middle School in White Bear Lake
and represented by the White Bear Lake Lions Club.
Remember the theme this last year was,
“Children Know Peace”
The grand prizewinner will be announced in March at the United
Nations Day Celebration in New York, New York.
But now it is time to think ahead and begin the contest for this year. The new theme for 2012-2013 is, “Imagine Peace”.
The two most important deadlines for you to know for the 12-13
contest are:
Oct 1, 2012
- The last day you may order Peace Poster Kits.
Nov. 15, 2012 - The deadline for submitting your poster(s) to the
